Interiors Outside was born with the idea of bringing abandoned places back to life through photography. Each photo represents the absence of man, the passage of time, and nature’s re-appropriation of these places. Nature thus reshapes and sculpts these places eventually destroying them. Like an archaeologist unearthing precious artefacts so, with my photographs, I document the testimony and history of what has been. There are more or less important stories in these spaces, from a writer to a Pope to a simple farmer, but I remind you that history is made by people and their lives.
This project aims to chronicle and protect abandoned and disused places where all evidence of what they once were is slowly being lost.
We are waiting for you to discover together a new secret corner of our art forest and celebrate the first 20 years of the Park!

Fabio Giamello (Siena 1994)
A photographer and social media manager specialising in the food sector. He has been collaborating for years with artistic content and marketing for important Italian companies.
In recent times he has undertaken the investigation of abandoned places which can be given new life through his photography.

HOW TO REACH US

By paved road from Siena, take the SP408 to Ponte a Bozzone. Turn left at the church and follow the signs for Pievasciata / Sculpture Park. We are about 15 km from Siena.

THE WALK
-
The walk round the Park is about 1,5 km and it is suitable for baby buggies and wheelchair users. Upon request we offer a tour of the Park in an electric buggy for those with mobility issues. Contact us for further information.

Groups of more than 12 people are asked to book entry in advance, to facilitate organisation.
Guided tours are available in Italian and English upon reservation.

A VISIT FOR EVERYONE

The visit to the Park lasts an hour and a half on average and it is absolutely suitable for children! Our four-legged friends are welcome providing they are kept on a lead and any ‘deposits’ are removed! The park does not have a restaurant, but we will be happy to recommend some restaurants that can be reached by car in a few minutes. A picnic area is available.
