Southern Garden Northern Spirit, a chamber choir from Bremen, Germany, will present an international contemporary repertoire at the Parco Sculturo del Chianti on the 17th of October.
The young singers combine pieces from northern European classical romantic era (Josef Rheinberger, Hugo Alfvén) with international contemporary composers from Europe (Javier Busto, György Orbán) and Australia (Lisa Young, Gordon Hamilton, William Barton). In its 20 year lang tradition, Northern Spirit has set new standards of musical storytelling, often cooperating with young composers in developing a unique sound. During its 2025 Italy tour, the choir will present musical scenes from Sweden’s forests, Islandic glaciers and the sunset at Sydney’s Southern Garden.
