Inauguration of the exhibition “Step by Step” and meet the artist Marco Acquafredda
Thursday 9th July 6.30pm
After the success of the exhibition “Love Never Fails” by the artist Li Yungfeng, the Chianti Sculpture Park is pleased to present “STEP BY STEP”, a new site-specific project by the Sienese artist Marco Acquafredda.
Taking inspiration from the fairy-tale figure of Tom Thumb, the work unfolds along the paths of the forest like an imaginary journey that connects literature, nature, and the spiritual dimension. Acquafredda chooses to return to the world “all the gold in the world” – the symbol of the unconditional love from the Grimm fairy tale – transforming humble natural elements into precious and shining presences.
His art is an invitation to slow down, observe the ‘rules of chaos,’ and rediscover matter as a bridge to the spiritual dimension.
So, Thursday 9th July 2026 at 6.30pm come and meet the artist.
Marco Acquafredda (Siena, 1977) explores in his work the visible and invisible connections between man and matter. With “Step by Step,” he continues his multidisciplinary research made of serial gestures, listening to the landscape & bringing into the Park a profound reflection on the concept of trace and memory. The interaction is designed to integrate into the Park’s ecosystem until nature decides to reabsorb it.
