INSOLITO TRIO. The music of J.S. Bach, V. Bellini, G. Giordani, Cordiferro/Cardillo, Di Giacomo/Costa, C. W. Gluck, De Curtis, Monti, N. Paganini, A. Piazzolla.

The tenor and guitar duo, formed by Marco Rencinai and Silvia Tosi, is joined by the violin of Tamamì Torsellini in a concert for violin, voice, and guitar, which features duets with the plucked string instruments, sometimes with the voice and sometimes with the bow, culminating in a melding between the three instruments into an ‘unusual’ trio. In addition to the famous Italian arias and salon romances of Gluck, Giordani, Bellini, and Verdi, and the most beautiful Neapolitan songs by authors such as A’ Vucchella, Era de’ maggio, Torna a Surriento, and Core ‘ngrato, pieces by Paganini, Piazzolla, and Monti are included, which highlight the qualities of the bowed instrument. All of this takes place in a performance where the audience will be guided by candlelight by the musicians themselves.
