THE PATH inside the Park it is approximately 1.5 kilometres long and in some sections reaches a gradient of 20%: it is suitable to baby buggies and wheelchair users. Upon request we offer a tour of the Park in an electric buggy for those with mobility issues.
THE VISIT to The Park lasts, on average, an hour and a half and is absolutely suitable for children! Not just a family friendly location, but also your four-legged friends are welcome providing they are kept on a lead and any ‘deposits’ are removed! The park doesn’t have a refreshment stall, but we have a picnic area. We’ll be happy to recommend some restaurants just a few minutes’ drive away.
BOOKING is not necessary. Open all year from 10 am. Closing times vary depending on the daylight.
TICKETS €10 adults / €5 Under 18 yrs / Under 4 yrs Free
The Chianti Sculpture Park, always noted as one of the most evocative and original places in Tuscany, has recently been selected by Sky Arte as one of the best outdoor experiences to enjoy this summer, where ‘contemporary art merges with the landscape’. This is not an isolated accolade, in recent years The Park has often been featured in articles and guides showcasing the most enchanting destinations where art meets nature. It is frequently paired with iconic venues such as the Tarot Garden by Niki de Saint Phalle (Capalbio), the Celle Farm (Pistoia), the open-air museum of Luicciana (Vaiano), and Arte Sella in Trentino. All immersive experiences that combine landscape, creativity and contemplation.
What is the thread that connects them? Site-specific sculptures, designed to interact with the surrounding environment and offer visitors a sensory and rejuvenating experience, outside the usual museum framework.
Even publications like Lonely Planet, Touring Club Italiano, Condé Nast Traveller, The Guardian, National Geographic, and many other Italian and international publications have described The Park as an ideal destination for family outings, day trips or as an alternative itinerary to discover a more authentic Tuscany, away from the usual tourist circuit crowds.
With its sculptures created by artists from five continents & set in a real Tuscan forest, The Park offers a path of about a kilometre, where each work interacts with the landscape, the light, and the passage of time. An open-air museum that changes with the seasons and surprises you at each visit.
Whether you are contemporary art enthusiasts, curious walkers, or families looking for a different day out, the Chianti Sculpture Park is the ideal place for an immersion in peace, nature and culture, just a few kilometres from Siena and in the heart of the most authentic Chianti countryside.
